When will this service begin?
MasParc Connect service will start on October 16, 2023.
What are the operating hours?
Service will be provided Monday-Saturday, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Where can I go using this service?
MasParc Connect serves a designated area around Northeastern University. All rides must begin and end within the designated area. Please see the designated service area map here.
How does the fee structure work?
The fee is $3.00 per rider and provides a one-way trip. If you are traveling in a group, each person in the group would pay this $3.00 fee. If you are using the shuttle for a trip to and from a destination, you would pay the fee each way. Gratuities for drivers are appreciated but never required.
How many passengers can each vehicle transport at a time?
The MasParc Connect vehicles can accommodate up to 4 passengers at a time.
Can I bring packages with me? Is there storage?
Yes! Each vehicle has a limited amount of storage space.
Can I eat or drink on MasParc Connect?
No, eating and/or drinking is prohibited while riding.
Are pets allowed to ride?
Only appropriately trained service animals, as defined by the ADA, are permitted to ride. Emotional support, comfort, or therapy animals, as well as pets, are not allowed in the vehicles.
Can drivers pick up other passengers on the way to my destination?
If there is space in the vehicle for additional passengers, and the rides requested are on the way, a driver may pick up or drop off other passengers while driving someone to their destination.
Are the MasParc Connect vehicles wheelchair accessible?
Due to the limited nature of this pilot program, the vehicles currently in use are not wheelchair accessible. However, MasParc Connect drivers are trained to assist and accommodate riders with other disabilities or that need additional assistance entering and exiting the vehicles. Also, the vehicles are capable of accommodating most foldable wheelchairs. We are currently determining the feasibility of providing wheelchair-accessible transportation in the future.
