Motorcycle Parking for Permit Holders
In order to park a motorcycle on campus, the owner must have an active parking permit and register their motorcycle’s license plate to their permit. If not registered to an active permit, the motorcycle will be subject to standard enforcement and may be towed at the owner’s expense.
Columbus Garage is the only gated parking location on campus with designated motorcycle parking spaces. This is because the induction loops used by the parking equipment do not properly detect motorcycles, which prevents motorcycle owners from interacting with the parking kiosks and creates safety concerns when driving a motorcycle underneath the parking gates. To prevent these issues, the Columbus Garage has an opening before the entry/exit gates. This opening allows motorcycles to safely enter/exit the facility without interacting with the parking gates.
In addition, a permitholder may not park their motorcycle while a second registered vehicle under your permit is parked on campus. If multiple vehicles under a permit are parked simultaneously on campus, both vehicles are subject to standard enforcement and may be towed at the owner’s expense.
MasParc, LAZ Parking and Northeastern University assume NO liability for lost or stolen property or damage to any vehicle while it is parked on campus in one of the facilities. The University does not assume responsibility or liability for any lost property or damage associated with a vehicle being towed. Hours, rules and regulations are subject to change without prior notice. Vehicle information must be registered to a permit at all times.
